We need your help.

We can’t do it without you!

It takes a village to raise a child… imagine what it takes to put on a festival!

If you have the time and capacity, you won’t have to imagine any longer. This is great way to get behind the scenes of The 2023 Grand Valley Highland Games, and score free admission, too! All volunteers must be at least 16 years old, unless accompanied by an adult. Bring the whole family and make it a family affair!

Additional accommodations are listed below the volunteer submission form.

Crew Descriptions

Anything

Pretty self explanatory, but necessary. We need individuals who are up for the challenge of making sure the festival runs smoothly, no matter the task! It might not always be glamorous, but we promise it will be fun!

Set Up/Tear Down

Responsible for helping set up the festival on Friday, and taking down everything on Sunday. By far, one of the more labor intensive crews. Don’t forget to have your pre-workout and protein shakes readily available!

Alcohol Team (21+)

Is it really a Scottish festival without whisky and beer flowing?! We need folks behind the taps and bottles making this happen. We run a nearly cashless festival, so there will not be any money management necessary while pouring. If pouring is not your jam, we also need folks to be present at the whisky tastings as a helping hand or at the beer ticket sales booth.

Front Gate/Check-In/Wristbands

Checking in festival goers, selling tickets at the gate, or assisting with wristbands can get a little wild and busy at times, but it’s a great way to meet new people!  Selling tickets and checking-in attendees does require a little tech experience, but nothing too crazy, and you must be over 16 years old! We’ll host a training about 1 week before the games begin so we can handle the crowds with grace on opening day!

Entertainment Support

Let’s face it: entertainers and athletes are the reason we’re here!. We’re happy to accommodate Pipers, Drummers, Dancers, Athletes, and Bands! We need help to pull it off and keep them happy, healthy, and maintain the ability to do what they do best!

VIP Lounge (21+)

To provide a VIP experience we need VIP volunteers! Those helping in this tent will be a versatile helping hand to our VIP coordinator.

Grounds Observer(16+)

Pro: You will likely have access to a golf cart. Who doesn’t love that?! Just make sure you have a valid driver’s license.

Con: Your most crucial task will be emptying rubbish bins throughout the day, while periodically checking in with other departments to offer assistance, as needed.

Parking

This is not limited to just pointing cars to open spaces. We also need people willing to be a guide to the incoming foot traffic, and assist our handicapped attendees. Our goal is to make sure that everyone has a good time, and that begins from the time attendees pull into the parking lot!
